Prospect Pulse

My little wife is in the hospital today, so the prospect of me still having a pulse if I don't get back their soon is slim, so the profile will follow later today.

For now, here is some News You Can Use in the Late Morning:

-Mike Dunham retires to be the Islanders goalie coach. I guess Snow didn't want to relinquish his GM's chair.

-
Redden says "no hard feelings" after abortive draft day deal.

-The Oilers name Stu MacGregor chief scout. He can't be any worse than the Sather era scouts. Michel Riesen???

-
Kyle Chipchura is ready to claim a roster spot for the Canadiens. (TSN Broadband)

-Wes Goldstein eyes the Av's at the top of NW Division. If Captain Canada meshes well with Burnaby Joe, they could be in business. Also look for Liles to have a bounce back year.

-
Elliot Olshanky has some intersting discussion on the CCM Junior Classic and the not so Superseries.

-Aaron Downey, Jason Cullimore and Brent Sopel all receive invites to the Detroit Red Wings camp. My guess is that many left over FA's get the call in the next few days. I am surprised Sopel hasn't garnered more attention in the PP happy "new NHL".

-
The Manitoba Moose like what they see from the Canucks prospects. If any nice single boys attend a Moose game this year, please be sure to say hi to the lovely, talented and single Jen Sharpe.

-
Rob Ramage will learn his fate soon.

-The peerless Eric Duhatschek with a training camp preview.

-Mike Rathje attempts a comeback. Can anyone even tell if he is moving? Last I heard they gauged his speed in epochs.

-
Cloutier looking to have a rebound year. Cloutier should use a different phrase. I think it was rebounds that got him in all this trouble.

-
Wade Belak relies on pedialyte to keep him hydrated. I always knew the Leafs were babies, this is sweet confirmation.

-
Leafs prospect Jiri Tlusty has found his scoring touch.

-Scott Arniel going with a youth movement with this year's Manitoba Moose. Once again, if the action on the ice is slow, please check out Jen Sharpe. She is KK and RP approved.

Please check back for more later in the day.
