Ezra's Note: In the absence of Richard Pollock's Morning Papers feature ( to return Monday, December 17, 2007), I will be providing the Noon Hour Papers.
Here are the National newspapers:
- Eric Duhatschek, in his Globe and Mail commentary, discusses the return of Anaheim Ducks defenseman Scott Niedermayer and how he doesn't see a trend developing where older players rest up then return midway through the season.
- In the National Post, a quick little note on Sidney Crosby winning the Lou Marsh Award, as Canada's outstanding athlete. It is the first time since 1993 that a hockey player has won the award.
Please stay tuned for the Western Conference and Eastern Conference newspapers.
