From Mark Purdy of the San Jose Mercury News:
And, no, I'm not exaggerating. Wilson has been one of the NHL's rare American coaches. And he's fiercely proud of it. During his time with the Sharks, he loved to tweak Canadians for their proprietary attitude toward hockey. This didn't make him popular in the Great White North.

The article is quite humorous. I wonder how Wilson will react to the publicity he will receive on a daily basis. His last three coaching jobs have been in the hockey hot-beds of Anaheim, San Jose and Washington. So I'm pretty sure he will face more questions on his first day in Toronto than he has in his past ten years of coaching. For us non-Leafs fans, this should be quite an entertaining tenure.
