How are Bolts going to support payroll?

From Kevin Allen of USA Today:

The Lightning are now over $50 million, and it’s difficult to imagine they have the revenue there to support that payroll. Maybe it wasn’t good business to put together this team, but if Smith plays sharply, and some tweaking, this team could be able to compete with most of the East’s top teams.

If nothing else, these new guys in Tampa Bay are making us be mindful of the Lightning again.

I was wondering the same thing. How on earth are the Lightning not going to lose a lot of money next season? I guess the answer is, going deep into the playoffs; however, there is never a guarantee of playoff success.
